Alessandra Ambrosio’s Guide to Beachy Brazilian Beauty

“This definitely wakes me up,” Alessandra Ambrosio says as she rolls a chilled jade roller atop her mask-coated complexion on a recent morning at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. With her wet lengths twisted into a bun, the supermodel is setting the stage for her camera-ready beauty routine, which sees her mix mists, makeup, and more with a pro’s touch gleaned from more than 20 years on set.

“I live in my bikini,” says the Erechim-born, now-Californian who always preps (and protects) her face for the day ahead with Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Sun Drops and Beauty Counter’s SPF20 tinted moisturizer . “Brazilian beauty to me means natural; it means glowy,” she explains while tapping on a lightweight foundation—but that doesn’t mean she takes a pared-back approach to cosmetics. Eye-opening liquid liner, lip-defining pencils, and a slew of sparkly shadows are all a part of the 37-year-old’s playbook. “There are a lot of steps, so stay with me!” she says with a laugh.
