Simple diet tricks to support a healthy bladder

Living with a leaky bladder can be embarrassing, but first and foremost, you should know that you are not alone. Thousands of Americans leak when they cough, sneeze, or laugh, and many more have such a strong urgency to go to the bathroom that they often can’t make it in time.

There are several factors that come into play when discussing urinary incontinence including childbirth, old age, and medical conditions. What you do need to know is that urinary incontinence doesn’t need to take over your life and there are simple ways you can take back control of your bladder.

One of those remedies involves eating the right diet to promote overall bladder health. On the other hand, eating the wrong foods can worsen your urinary incontinence. Here you will learn about the right diet to control urgency and leaks.

Diet to support a healthy bladder

A large factor that contributes to urge incontinence is weight. Being overweight puts added pressure on the bladder, which creates the urge to go. Eating a diet that supports a healthy weight can go a long way in reducing urgency.

A 78year old lady has lost her bladder control; what is the remedy for this?

She has few other health problems, such as high blood pressure, past history of infection in alimentary canal & frequent loss of balance.

she has at least 2 out of the triad of incontinence, frequent imbalance (as a result probably wide based gait while walking) and failing memory. you had better get a MRI scan of the brain to rule out i) normal pressure hydrocephalus and ii) lacunar infarcts

it's ageing process...so as such we do not pay much attention to it but yes when u talk about other problems, she needs medication..i would suggest you go in for homoeopathy as at this age you can't make her suffer from any sideeffects due to other medications.

Bladder control solutions for my mom's dog?

Here's the deal. The dog is a fourteen year old Cocker Spaniel. My mom loves this dog like no other and thinks he's positively the best dog in the world. For about two weeks, he has been peeing upwards of 4-6 times a day. It's not that he's "leaking"

WHy hasn't your Mom taken the dog to the vet to have him checked out?
Even at 14 it may be something that can be corrected if not too serious?
He may just have a UTI, he have a prostate problem, or kidney trouble, or diabetes, or a number

Poor guy. I wish I could provide more but I believe there are diapers designed for dogs. http://www.tinkletrousers.com/ . I hope this helps.....

This was assuming he's already been to the vet.
