Eat Your Way to a More Beautiful Beard

Supplementing the above foods with a multivitamin, or with any of the unitary nutrients listed above, might do the trick. Just don't overdo it: Your substance will excrete any extra water-soluble vitamins (eg, vitamin C or B12), but it'll hold out on to

Kidney stones and some supplements may not be healthy mix

Dear Dr. Roach: I have been taking a multivitamin for years, and now one of my physicians wants me to take a vitamin that has NO vitamin D or calcium. He just removed kidney stones in two separate procedures. I can't find any vitamins like that. — D.A.S.

Dear D.A.S.: I completely agree that people with kidney stones should avoid calcium supplements. The transiently high levels of calcium after taking one cause the kidney to excrete a lot of that calcium, and that can cause a calcium crystal to grow, eventually forming a stone. Calcium that comes from the diet, on the other hand, does not induce such a spike in blood levels. Also, part of the calcium bonds with oxalate, preventing that chemical — a major part of many kidney stones — from being absorbed. High dietary calcium reduces the risk of stones.

The effect of vitamin D is not as clear. It seems that having low vitamin D is a risk for forming stones, so many experts will treat low vitamin D levels in people with kidney stones. I don't know your exact situation. It may be that your vitamin D level is normal or high, and you just don't need supplementation.

Where can I buy multivitamins for men?

I am looking for Berkley & Jensen or Equaline men's multivitamins. I searched for these but could not find them anywhere. Where can I get these either in a shop or online?

Does it have to be those two? Won't any multivitamin suffice? I mean, they are primarily the same, whether you get Nature Made or Kirkland

Can a woman take multivitamins for men?

I just started working out and a friend suggested that I start taking a multivitamin. I'm a little low on funds so I can't buy any right now. But my husband has a bottle of 12-in-one soft gel multi for men. Does it matter that it's for me....I mean I

no, it won't give you male hormones and produce testosterone, male glands, or weird hair.
however, taking a multivitamin for men may give you a severe excess of nutrients because males often require more. it may also provide the wrong nutrients,

ur not supposed to but it probably won't really hurt you that much other than vitamins and stuff in your body
