Eat Your Way to a More Beautiful Beard

A moment ago don't overdo it: Your body will excrete any extra water-soluble vitamins (eg, vitamin C or B12), but it'll keep on to extra fat-soluble vitamins (eg, vitamin A). Excessive doses of vitamin A could absolutely lead to hair loss.

Trash the Vitamins: Convince Your Patients

Are those vitamins doing more harm than good?

Are those vitamins doing more harm than good? “The do away with is in the dose and so you can make a case for lots of things being harmful, but it depends how much [you're consuming].” Dr. Whiting said she's much more perturbed with issues related to misleading information, such as vitamins that don't

Emma Cowing: Daily dose of illusion for the worried well

IN MY kitchenette, next to the coffee, I keep a large tub of multi-vitamins. Every morning – after the coffee, clearly, how else does one get both eyes open – I take one, sometimes washing it down with a soluble vitamin C pellet, which fizzes dangerously

Here's what you need to know about “ingestible skincare” (aka vitamins)

The vitamin and supplement category—dominated by popular consumables like fish oil, protein, and probiotics, and peppered with niche products like royal jelly and evening primrose oil—is poised to be the $445 billion beauty industry’s next big thing.

What began as essentially a novelty at farmer’s markets has grown more than 40% over the past five years, and now accounts for $89.6 million in sales in the US, up from $63.6 million in 2012 according to market research firm Euromonitor International.

As beauty publication Glossy notes, mainstream luxury retailers like Nordstrom, Sephora, and Bluemercury are betting on the supplement trend—which is being marketed by some as “Ingestible skincare”—with Nordstrom cashing in on its own Well Beauty shop back in January and Sephora boasting its own “clean beauty” wall in stores.

But even the giants are facing competition in the supplement market: Vitamin startups like Ritual—” the multivitamin reinvented “— bespoke vitamin providers like Care/of,  and supplement subscription services (see Goop’s $75.00/month ‘ Why am I so Effing Tired ‘), are showing rapid growth  (paywall).

I take two vegetarian multivitamin pills. Should I only take one since I'm going to take spirulina powder daily?

I dont know. But I will tell you it wont hurt you if you continue taking two. Since whatever your body dosnt need from the pills will just pass through you. (Thats what Ive been told at least)

Cut out BOTH the multi and the spirulina.

Is your body depleted if you miss a multivitamin dose?

Do you need to take them absolutely every day to get the benefits, or does your body store vitamins to last a while?

There are many nutritionists who would argue that you don't need to take vitamins at all IF YOU EAT A HEALTHY DIET. But obviously, that's easier said than done. But assuming that you are in reasonably good health, you're certainly not doing yourself

If you're eating properly you shouldn't need them at all. That aside, vitamins B and C are water soluble so they pass through you fairly quickly. A,D,E and K are fat soluble so they stay in your system for a very long time. You will not see any symptoms
