Dr. El's 'Quality of Life' star ratings are the way to go

The Nursing Home Compare star rating system assesses quality of care based on health inspections, staffing and quality of resident care measures. It examines important factors such as emergency preparedness, resident/staff ratios, re-hospitalization rates, falls and antipsychotic use.

After writing about turnover in my last column , I wondered what might happen if high marks were also awarded to facilities for strong staff retention, which has been positively correlated with better care (in this research , for example). From there, I began to imagine an entire rating system based on my view of long-term care.

I think of nursing homes holistically, as microcosms that thrive when each group of participants is thriving. The three groups in each long-term care world are the residents, staff and families. Please help for supplemental applications for UCI?

Hi all, recently I've applied to UCI and other UCs. All in all the applications went smoothly. Here's the problem for UCI I did not know that the University required its supplemental application along with the regular one by the 30th. I chose Nursing

I dont think youll have to worry about it actually- if you sent in anything late, they probably wont even review your application at all at uci to be honest. If they do, then yes, the other person is correct, youll have several opportunities to change

Does that mean you submitted your supplemental application late for UCI? If you end up getting accepted there or at any university for that matter, it is still possible to change your major after enrolling. It is possible the other degree may be listed
